Department-Specific Responsibilities

  • Analyzes and interprets data and prepares reports for multiple specialized master's programs for forecasting current and future graduate student admissions as well as acceptance ratios.
  • Reviews applications for completeness and contacts applicants relative to missing data or discrepancies. 
  • Resolves discrepancies and makes recommendations for increased effectiveness.
  • Processes admission decisions and preserves admission student application files and data bases for those admitted into the school and generates reports and analyses based on this information.
  • Oversees the entire application process for multiple specialized master's programs while coordinating the work of others in the group.
  • Works on process improvement for the entire in-residence specialized master's admissions areas.  
  • Assists in the administration of a budget in excess of $3 million for graduate assistantships, fellowships, and fee remissions.
  • Responsible for preparing reports and completing analyses that track hours worked and awards assessed to graduate assistants in the multiple in-residence specialized master's programs.
  • Ensures compliance with fund administration agreements, donor requests, and institutional business practices.
  • Advises and counsels students with respect to scholarship opportunities, eligibility, and financial aid.

General Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with team members to develop program objectives and create policies to meet them. Coordinates program operation with all collaborative units.
  • Monitors progress and maintains all necessary data bases.
  • Actively recruits program participants and researches new venues and methods of recruitment.
  • May provide guidance to support and temporary staff and coordinates workflow for the program.
  • Researches available grants and assists creating funding proposals that further advance support of the program. Writes grant reports.
  • Administers program budgets.

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
