Duties
Essential Functions:
  • Coordinate schedules for individual campus visits, class visits, special interviews or appointments, and information sessions.
  • Manage schedules for groups visiting campus and oversee appropriate staffing assignments.
  • Hire, on-board, train, manage and supervise student staff or volunteers, such as student ambassadors, to effectively support recruitment initiatives.
  • Assists with on-campus event planning, including Bulldog Preview Day, Discover Kettering, Bulldog for a Day, Admitted Student Day, etc.
  • Document and provide comprehensive reports on campus visit programs, including attendance numbers, participation feedback, and program outcomes, to inform decision-making and enhance future recruitment efforts.
  • Assists with the main campus telephone activities and inquiries for the Office of Admission.
  • Assist in planning and executing on-campus recruitment and public relations activities utilizing university administrators, faculty, students, and alumni.
  • Support the daily work of the Office of Admission.
  • Work collaboratively with the Vice President of Enrollment, directors, and all members of the admissions staff to achieve the goals and objectives of the Office of Admission.

Admission Counselor Responsibilities:
  • Manage correspondence with prospective students and their parents.
  • Monitor the status of applications for admissions, financial aid, and scholarships for prospective students within assigned areas.
  • Conduct admissions presentations, meetings, and interviews with prospective students and families.
  • Administer telephone, text, and written inquiries regarding the admission status of prospective students.

Other Job Functions:
  • Assist with setup and teardown needed for events, including tasks such as stuffing packets, putting up signs, and preparing registration/check-in items.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for recruitment (approximately 10% of the time).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
