Job Overview

Counsel and recruit future law students, oversee the student ambassador program, manage special student recruitment initiatives and events, evaluate applications, contributes significantly to all event planning, and process scholarship awards.


Essential Functions
  • Serve as the primary admission counselor and point of contact to future law students. Communicate with future law students via phone, email, and webinars; respond to inquiries from future law students regarding entrance requirements, application procedures, financial aid availability, housing alternatives, etc. Manage future student visits and tours of the College of Law. Ensure quality of service and interaction with future students and seek opportunities to enhance services. 
  • Recruit, select, train, and manage Admission Experience Champions (student ambassadors).
  • Represent the College of Law at in-person and virtual recruitment fairs, forums, and panels both regionally and nationally. Develop and implement creative outreach and recruitment strategies for prospective students. 
  • In conjunction with the Assistant Dean of Admissions, serve as the point of contact and coordinator for all private campus visits and programming for “Stay A Bearcat” programs (traditional, Accelerated BA/JD, and Double Bearcat) and external 3 + 3 partnerships. 
  • Review, evaluate, and make initial admission recommendations on a significant portion of the applicant pool. Assist with financial aid and scholarship management in Catalyst. 
  • In conjunction with the Assistant Dean of Admission and Director of Admission, plan and execute all on-campus admission event logistics including tracking event RSVPs, reserving rooms, securing speakers, managing catering and décor, and gathering event materials.
  • Serve as the housing liaison for all admitted students with on and off-campus housing options. Coordinate efforts to provide accurate and timely information from Residential Life and off-campus housing.
  • Attend admission and financial aid professional development conferences. 
  • Special projects and other responsibilities as requested by the Assistant Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid.
  • May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).

Required Education
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Trainings/Certifications

A valid driver's license.


Required Experience

Three (3) year of relevant experience.

  • Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
