Assistant Director, Graduate Programs - Mathematics

Under the leadership of the Assistant Director of Mathematics, assist with the fiscal, academic-related and administrative planning and operations for the Department. Work closely with the Assistant Director and the Chair to develop strategies to meet short- and long-term departmental goals. Manage special projects, staff, and budgets.



Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Preferred Education:
Masters degree in Higher Education, Counseling preferred.
Required Experience:
Min. of 3 years of increasingly responsible professional level experience in advising and providing student services or administering and marketing programs or events, and supervising staff or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to plan, develop and implement programs, and develop marketing and retention strategies. Ability to problem solve and interact with individuals at all levels. Experience supervising staff and collaborating with faculty. Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills. Familiarity with budget preparation and administration. Familiarity with budget preparation, social media management, CRM data organization, video and multimedia production and online content management skills.



In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $78,695.36 to USD $98,695.36. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
