What We Are Looking For

Baylor University is seeking an Assistant Director, Graduate Enrollment who will support the mission of the university in the admission side of graduate enrollment for the Hankamer School Business School. This position is responsible for managing admission processes to enroll all students in graduate business programs. This process begins once prospective students start an application and ends once the applicant accepts their offer of admission.

A Bachelor's degree, three years of relevant work experience, and a Christian faith are required.  Five years of relevant work experience is preferred. A combination of education and experience will not be considered in lieu of the degree requirement. Hybrid work arrangement may be considered in a case by case basis.

What You Will Do

Oversee the admission process for 10 Graduate Business Programs.

  • Partner with the Director of Graduate Enrollment in planning and implementing the admission process.   
  • Monitor and administer progress of all graduate business programs applications using the university’s application platform, Slate.
  • Assist applicants with questions and notifying enrollment coordinators of any issues.
  • Ensure applications are duly processed on time.
  • Evaluate applicants’ eligibility for admission by serving as Reader 1 in the application review process. 
  • Conduct and schedule admission interviews, as needed. 
  • Supervise transcript review process and train student workers who review all official and unofficial transcripts.   

Monitor enrollment goals for all graduate business programs. 

  • Work collaboratively with the Graduate Business Programs leadership to present the admissions trends and analysis to help Directors refine marketing, communications, and application standards. 
  • Monitor, track, and analyze trends to support the director in meeting enrollment goals for all graduate business programs by updating the department CRM systems with accurate admission data.

Build and maintain effective relationships within the Graduate Business Programs department.

  • Build effective communication plans with the graduate enrollment team including graduate enrollment coordinators, assistant director for graduate enrollment, and associate director of graduate enrollment on material and actions needed to complete and process applications. 
  • Assist the director of operations and associate directors for student services and operations with onboarding communication to admitted students. 

Work collaboratively with departments across campus to support admissions-related needs.

  • Work with Graduate School to track any back-end issues with Slate. 
  • Serve as point of contact for Graduate School and Center for Global Engagement for application inquiries. 
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
  • Ability to comply with University policies
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
