Position Summary:

Join Student Development as an Assistant Director for Student Transitions and Family Programs! Reporting to the Director of Student Transitions & Family Programs, the Assistant Director is responsible for the development, coordination, implementation, and assessment of transition and orientation programs that support and enhance the transitions of new students and their families as they transition in and through the institution. This position leads the department’s efforts to design, implement, manage, and assess transition programs for undergraduate students. The Asst. Director oversees Orientation Leaders and Blue Crew Counselor student leader recruitment and the Camp Blue program. This position, in partnership with the Director and Associate Director, assists with Orientation, Welcome Weekend, New Student Move-in and supports parents/family programs.

Minimum Qualifications:

*BA degree.
*A minimum of one year experience as a student orientation leader or related undergraduate experience addressing student transitional needs and/or event management.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
*Exceptional interpersonal skills with a track record of working effectively with students or students and faculty.
*The ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
*The ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

*Master's degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education, Counseling, or a related field.
*Demonstrated and successful experience working with people from diverse backgrounds.
*Knowledge of and sensitivity to a Catholic Marianist work environment.
