GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Office of Global Services at Illinois Institute of Technology is seeking a full-time Assistant Director for Student Mobility. The Assistant Director will oversee Student Mobility operations at Illinois Tech and work to actively grow the program offerings as well as the number of Illinois Tech students engaged in studying abroad. As part of this effort, the Assistant Director will co-lead strategic planning for Student Mobility programs and initiatives, including revenue-generating opportunities. Ideally, this position needs someone who is flexible, innovative, entrepreneurial and the ability to work with key stakeholders to operationalize, support and develop study abroad programming. The position is responsible for study abroad marketing and recruitment of students on the Illinois Tech campus, and working closely with the Student Mobility team to support the education abroad process and student experience.
COMMUNICATIONS
Communication:
1) Respond to communications sent from students, faculty and staff members regarding the study abroad process.
2) Develop and deliver presentations to students, prospective students, families, campus partners, providers, and others, in public forums.
3) Maintain standard protocols in working with confidential documents and sensitive data.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
Customer Service: Provides excellent student focused customer service to internal and external customers. Relationship and customer service is extremely important when working with the IIT community.
Special Schedule Requirements
Some night and/or weekend hours may be needed, especially during Discover IIT days Welcome Week, Family Weekend/Homecoming, etc.

Qualifications


Education & Experience
A minimum bachelor’s degree is required.
3 to 5 years of experience in Study Abroad (or related experience) and application processing, admissions, and/or other customer service organizations.
Familiarity with international education systems. Prior experience in study abroad is required.
Experience working CRM application management processes and systems including but not limited to AY application systems, Salesforce, TargetX, Slate, Terra Dotta is preferred.
Experience in admissions, counseling, customer service is also preferred.
This position will require a flexible work schedule, including some nights and weekends, and the willingness to travel on an occasional basis.

Student Mobility Recruitment and Enrollment Oversight
This position will support the overall completion and study abroad admissions decision-making on student admissions records as applicable or required; this may include but is not limited to collecting and reviewing admissions documents for completion, and coordinating additional document submissions from students, following up regularly with the applicants directly or through enrollment support/application processors, on-ground Illinois Tech representation of required documents for completion of the application, ensuring application completion rules as established by the Colleges are met, processing applications for review upon completion, facilitating student record creation, facilitating with the College/Program Directors for admissions review/decision, communicating application status, application status report, facilitation of visa document issuance to international students, support matriculation and finally a collection of official transcripts, verify and load to admissions systems for application file completion upon student enrollment

- Manage the day-to-day Student Mobility Operations
- Support hiring, training, and Student Mobility programing around the world to build and maintain a culture of excellent customer service for international partners, institutional partners, prospects, applicants, admitted students, alumni and parents
- Manage projects effectively working closely with colleges and departments at Illinois Tech
