Assistant Director for Intake and Support

The University of Michigan, a world leader in the field of diversity, seeks a creative, innovative, and thoughtful person to join its Equity, Civil Rights and Title IX Office (ECRT). This position is critical to support the Director for Intake and Support, and to the university's commitment to address discrimination and discriminatory harassment. The Director for Intake and Support serves as the lead for decisions regarding appropriate intake process and procedures, overseeing case triage and intake, data management, supportive measures, and staff supervision of this team. The Director for Intake and Support also collaborates with ECRT staff to determine appropriate corrective, remedial, and educational responses following ECRT review of allegations of discrimination and harassment, including sexual and gender-based harassment; and serves as a resource for ECRT staff regarding timeliness of complaint response, increasing visibility and awareness of ECRT and issues that arise involving intake and support, training, website and template materials related to intake and support. The Director also oversees onboarding of new staff and the Mediation Services program. The Assistant Director for Intake & Support will assist the Director in carrying out these and other requirements and responsibilities as assigned and will report directly to the Director for Intake and Support.
