Summary of Position
Effectively assist in leadership, product ownership, strategic vision, and staff development to foster a dynamic culture, modeling the core values and keeping in alignment with the USNH mission statement, in support of the enterprise business applications for USNH. Reporting to the Director and Service Line Leader for the Business Applications Administration and Integration group (BAAI), the Assistant Director and ERP Product Owner oversees the day-to-day functions, of the project management, business analysis and operations support responsibilities for the BAAI team with an eye toward aligning the ERP product roadmap to strategic goals for all business offices.

  • Bachelor’s degree and eight years of experience in information technology field, Master’s and six years, or combination of education and experience equal to twelve years.
  • 3 years leadership/management experience
  • Experience hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating staff members.
  • Broad understanding of both management and technical problems and solutions with ability to implement most advanced sustainable solutions.
  • Thorough and broad knowledge in area of expertise, from underlying principles to highest level of implementation and ability to apply those skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and delegate work effectively to a team.
  • Able to prioritize workload and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comprehensive information technology and management skills including the ability to troubleshooting complex problems.
  • Familiarity with ERP information technology systems.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of application life cycle and development best practices
  • Knowledge of information security best practices
  • Direct experience working with the Workday ERP system
  • Experience with vendor relationship management, especially for Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications
  • Familiarity with ITIL/IT Service Management practices
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies for process and performance improvement
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies such as PMBOK, and PMI certification
  • Experience working in a higher education environment and understanding of annual higher education business cycles
