Minimum Position Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of one (1) year of related experience within a collegiate or professional basketball environment. Relevant experience may substitute for the required education. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Special Conditions
The department is especially interested in candidates with a Master’s degree, equipment operations experience at the Division I level, and/or experience working with an intercollegiate Men’s Basketball program.
Work Schedule
Monday – Friday
8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
May need to work evenings, weekends, and holidays while traveling with team(s).

Job Duties


Duties & Responsibilities
Oversees ordering, receiving, inventorying, and maintaining equipment for the Men’s Basketball, Men’s Golf, and Women’s Golf and related budget for all equipment, apparel, and footwear specific to the sports programs. Equip all Men’s Basketball staff and student-athletes for daily practices, competitions, and travel. Consults with coaches and administrators to determine equipment needs; write bid specifications for needed equipment; evaluate bids and make recommendations; process purchase requisitions. Assists in the coordination of camps/clinics. Oversees similar efforts for Men’s and Women’s Golf.

Coordinates washing and caring for apparel; maintains and repairs athletic equipment; reconditions equipment as needed.

Maintains daily records of equipment distribution, retrieval, and storage; conducts inventory at the end of the season and prior to ordering for the next season.

Handles all procurement for Nike-related apparel and equipment. Work with Nike on any designs and/or product placement. Handles all Nike financials as it relates to Men’s Basketball, Women’s Golf, and Men’s Golf programs. Ensures that all student-athletes, coaches, and staff are adhering to the Nike wear guidelines.
Duties & Responsibilities
Be on-site for all Men’s Basketball practices as needed to ensure daily team needs are met. Oversees and coordinates equipment for practices, games, and summer conditioning.
Manages all game day equipment-related setup for home Men’s Basketball games – prepares all equipment functions for home games (uniforms, player equipment, coaches and staff apparel, locker room, and bench setup, etc.); site setup to include home bench/sideline, locker room, officials locker room, and visitors bench/sideline setup. Coordinates all logistical equipment requests and operations with the visiting team Equipment Manager/Director of Basketball Operations. Assists student equipment managers with similar coordination for Men’s and Women’s Golf as needed.

Continually researches and monitors new innovations and upgrades to all Basketball equipment. Uses experience to work with new and existing safety devices of equipment and the protection as it pertains to equipment. Properly fits all footwear and apparel for the student-athletes to ensure that a safe and proper fit has been maintained. Works closely with, Athletic Training staff to provide any special protection requirements necessary. Assist Golf coaches and staff similarly, as needed.
