The Carle Illinois College of Medicine and the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement (OVCIA) invites applications and nominations for a full-time major gift officer position to secure private support for funding priorities for Carle Illinois. The Assistant Director/Associate Director/Director/Senior Director of Development will play a critical role in supporting Carle Illinois to maximize overall support and opportunities for collaborative giving.
The Carle Illinois College of Medicine is the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign's first new college established in six decades and its first and only campus-based medical school. Born of Illinois' strategic vision to enhance biomedical training to address society's grand healthcare challenges, Carle Illinois harnesses the energy and enthusiasm of our faculty and students to make a true and lasting impact on human health by seamlessly integrating Illinois' unparalleled assets in engineering, technology, and supercomputing with the Carle Health System's nationally recognized, comprehensive healthcare system.
Organizational Relationship
This position reports to the Associate Dean of Advancement at the Carle Illinois College of Medicine and will work closely with advancement colleagues and the Dean of Carle Illinois to maximize identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for major gift prospects.
Job Summary
Will work closely with advancement colleagues and the Dean of Carle Illinois to maximize identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for major gift prospects. They will develop strategies and implement programs that will lead to and result in the successful philanthropic support of the academic priorities of the University and the philanthropic interest of donors.

Salary
Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity. The salary range for this position starts at $65,000 for the title of Assistant Director; $75,000 for the title of Associate Director; $85,000 for the title of Director; and $105,000 for the title of Senior Director.
