Assistant Director, Academic Services

The Assistant Director of Academic Services will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing various aspects of academic services and curriculum planning at Wagner. The role will be responsible for managing and evaluating current and proposed course offerings; advising students on academic matters related to registration, including those enrolled in cross-school/dual-degree programs; supporting program directors in the identification of adjunct faculty and managing adjunct engagement with the Director, Academic Services; directing and reviewing course feedback and enrollment trends academic systems; and direct operational support for Wagner’s courses abroad, enriching students’ global academic experiences.

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in Public Administration or Higher Education Administration is preferred.
Required Experience:
5+ years in higher education administration. Must include experience in curriculum planning and academic services, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Experience:
5+ years Experience in cross-school registration and adjunct engagement in a graduate program.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills. Ability to professionally interact on a variety of levels with students, staff, faculty, and external audiences. Candidate should have strong analytical and organizational skills, a high capacity for attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. A high degree of proficiency in MS Word and Excel and Google Workspace equivalents is expected.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Working knowledge of PeopleSoft, UDW+, and other data management systems. Strong understanding of data management principles and practices.

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $62,400.00 to USD $80,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
