Summary of Job Duties:

The Assistant Dean of Administration - Law School is the senior finance administrator for the Law School and reports directly to the Dean and indirectly to the University's Associate Vice Provost for Planning. Through financial accounting, budgeting, management, and reporting, the Assistant Dean supports strategic, efficient, and effective use of the Law School's fiscal resources and provides an accurate account of their deployment, including maintaining the Law School's financial records, providing financial reports for the dean and unit supervisors; and preparing monthly/annual financial statements along with supporting data analytics efforts of the Law School for its accreditation. As a key member of the Dean's leadership team, the individual in this role further supports the Law School's strategic efforts through data management and benchmarking; interpretation and implementation of the University policy, procurement support, financial, human resources, facilities planning, and other activities as required to implement the instruction, research and service mission of the Law School.
The Assistant Dean of Administration directly oversees the human resources, facilities, and accounting functions and supervises assigned staff.
Regular, non-disruptive and reliable attendance is an essential job duty, as well as the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field from an accredited institution of higher education

  • At least five years of accounting experience

  • At least two years of supervisory experience in an accounting field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field

  • Six or more years of accounting experience

  • CMA, CPA, CGFM, CFE or similar certification

  • Proficient with Workday

  • Human Resource experience

  • Demonstrated accounting experience within higher education

  • Knowledge of current practices and trends in facilities management

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Salary Information:


$99,000 - $114,000 Commensurate with education and experience.
