This is a contract, full-time position with a targeted salary of $71,500.00/year with full health benefits and membership in the UC Retirement Plan.


Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Director, Creative Content & Social Media, the position will help create and implement, and review the strategic plan related to the Football program's multimedia initiatives, focusing on program activities as well as recruiting student-athletes, from graphic creation and design to photoshoots. Incumbent must possess the ability to adhere to, and comply with, department's identity and branding guidelines and enhance the program's identity as well as follow all university, NCAA, and conference rules and regulations including conference media rights. Position will work with department staff and programs to utilize content created (graphics, photo, video, etc) in various forms of social media. New content will be used to highlight the program activities as well as for recruiting materials, general interest, and other general correspondence. Incumbent will follow established department and campus parameters and help develop strategy and the creation of content for various sports accounts across X, Instagram and other potential emerging social channels.

Qualifications
  • Two (2) Years Minimum 2 years of experience in social media management as well as sports marketing, promotion and/or web development. (Required)
  • Mastery of Adobe Photoshop and a portfolio of visually impressive graphics. (Required)
  • An ability to create dozens of unique graphics per week and hit aggressive deadlines. (Required)
  • Knowledge of digital multimedia editing systems such as Adobe Creative Cloud. (Required)
  • Experience working with video editing programs. (Required)
  • Demonstrated firsthand experience creating content via graphic design and/or photography skills. (Required)
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities. (Required)
  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills, including copywriting and editing knowledge. (Required)
  • Strong technical background with advanced computer skills. (Required)
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. (Required)
  • Ability to follow NCAA, conference, University, and Departmental rules and regulations. (Required)
  • Understanding of social media strategy and best practices on platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, X and Instagram. (Required)
  • Knowledge of developing and executing a compelling and effective social media strategy across multiple platforms. (Required)

Special Conditions for Employment
  • Background Check: Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background investigation.
  • Live Scan Background Check: A Live Scan background check must be completed prior to the start of employment.
  • CANRA: The position is designated as a mandatory reporter under CANRA . The employee must sign the "Statement Acknowledging Requirement to Report Child Abuse".
  • Ability to work extended hours including weekends and holidays, with the potential to travel regularly. (Required)
  • 10% May be required to travel to away and home games.
