Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Director of New Media Football, the position will help create and implement, and review the strategic plan related to the Football program's multimedia initiatives, focusing on program activities as well as recruiting student-athletes, from graphic creation and design to photoshoots. Incumbent must possess the ability to adhere to, and comply with, department's identity and branding guidelines and enhance the program's identity as well as follow all university, NCAA, and Conference rules and regulations including Conference media rights. Position will work with department staff and programs to utilize content created (graphics, photo, video, etc.) in various forms of social media. New content will be used to highlight the program activities as well as for recruiting materials, general interest, and other general correspondence. Incumbent will follow established department and campus parameters and help develop strategy and the creation of content for various sports accounts across Twitter, Instagram and other potential emerging social channels.

Qualifications
  • Two (2) Years Minimum (2) years of experience in video management and sports marketing / promotion - or - (4) years experience in videography and social media management as well as sports marketing / promotion (Required)
  • Proficient on Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, Hubspot, LinkedIn and other social media platforms. (Required)
  • Must be highly proficient with Microsoft Office tools, Adobe Acrobat, social media platforms, CMS platforms, social listening tools, e-mail platforms, HTML, etc. (Required)
  • Understanding of social media, analytics, and branding. (Required)
  • Proficiency with photography and videography equipment and software (Required)
  • Displays graphic design skills for the production of marketing materials and social media content. (Required)
  • Detail oriented with an ability to meet strict deadlines. (Required)
  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines. (Required)
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofing skills (Required)
  • Knowledge and understanding of content creation techniques, including writing, editing, and visual content development. (Required)
  • Well organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage shifting responsibilities in a dynamic, cross-functional teamwork environment. (Required)

  • Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience / training. (Required)

  • Ability to work extended hours including weekends and holidays, with the potential to travel regularly. (Required)
  • 10% May be required to travel to away and home games.
