Assistant Coach - Men's Soccer

The Creighton University Athletic Department is now accepting applications for the position of Assistant Coach - Mens Soccer. Creighton is a Catholic and Jesuit comprehensive university committed to excellence in its selected undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs. Creighton, located in Omaha, Nebraska, competes in NCAA Division I as a member of the BIG EAST Conference.

 

The Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach/ will be tasked with assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of the program including but not limited to recruiting, player development, scheduling, operations, travel, hiring, and budget management.

 


Responsibilities
  • Planning and organizing practice and workouts designed to properly prepare student-athletes to excel in competition.
  • Recruiting.
  • Provide Catapult metrics to help meet space and duration requirements of drills.      
  • Provide real-time Catapult metrics to limit the risk of injuries.
  • Develop a calendar to implement tactical periodization during the competitive season.
  • Collaborating with the Sports Performance staff to ensure the development of effective conditioning and weight training programs.
  • Prepare video presentations to show visuals and help with the understanding of tactics.  Update the video library for games
  • Fostering an environment that develops the whole person.
  • Assist with the definition and implementation of team and player performance metrics.
  • Manage and organize the team platform for uploading and sharing videos.
  • Set up an engagement program for squad with community.
  • Uphold Creighton’s core values and demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.

 


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of coaching experience at the collegiate level
  • Coaching experience at a Division I institution
  • Master’s degree or advanced education
  • Experience capabilities with Catapult, Wyscout and HUDL programming

• Bachelor's Degree in related field
• 2 year's related experience.
• Knowledge of a specific sport's concepts/strategies and NCAA rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of physical conditioning techniques and weight training.
• Knowledge of basic statistics.
