The Assistant Athletic Director- Marketing and Corporate Relations will be responsible for working with corporate sponsors and prospective corporate partners via phone, email and in person. Responsible for planning, developing and executing marketing strategies to secure sponsorships of events and fulfill the obligations of said sponsorships. Assist in marketing strategies for season tickets/promotions at all athletic venues. Assist with marketing communications to donors, corporate partners, community members and the campus community to promote the support for WTAMU athletic events. Management of existing corporate relations and new relations. Reports to the Associate Athletic Director of Development.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Associate Athletic Director of Development in fundraising efforts by working with corporate partner and prospective partners via phone, email and in person.

  • Plan, develop and execute marketing strategies to secure sponsorships of events.

  • Plan, develop and execute fulfillment responsibilities of current sponsorships.

  • Plan, develop and execute marketing strategies for season ticket sales and promotions at all athletic venues.

  • Plan, develop and execute communication strategies with donors, corporate partners, community members and the campus community to promote all athletic events.

  • Manage existing corporate partner relationships.

  • Other duties as assigned

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Must have at least one year of related work experience, preferably in athletics fundraising or event related environment.

  • Computer experience in Microsoft Office, knowledge of desktop publishing applications is required.

  • Professional writing, presentation and public-speaking skills, also required.

  • Excellent public relations, oral and written communication skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or pursuit of a master’s degree is preferred

  • Proven track record of achieving sales goals is highly desired.
