Scope of Job | Directs and has primary responsibility for the operations of the ticket sales office for athletic events. Responsible for assuring proper ticket inventory for all upcoming events, all counter and mail order ticket sales for events using the box office facility by administering accounting and auditing controls over all tickets as required by internal and external auditors including all administrative aspects. |

Required Education | Bachelors’ degree from an accredited university. |

Licenses/Certifications | None. |
Required Experience | Two (2) years of experience in ticket operations, development, or marketing and promotions in either the collegiate, professional or sports marketing field. |
Preferred Experience | Experience working in a similar capacity in college athletics, professional sports, sales, or community relations. Knowledge of sports ticket sales strategies and/or a network of relationships within the UTRGV and RGV community. |
Equipment | Use of standard office equipment. Preferred: Experience with ticketing software. |
Working Conditions | Needs to be able to successfully perform all required duties. Usual office conditions plus attendance at various University sports events. Ability to work extended hours that are often outside of the normal business schedule such as evenings, weekends, and holidays. Occasional travel is required. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. UTRGV is a distributed institution, which requires presence at multiple locations throughout the Rio Grande Valley. |
Other | Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must possess the ability to work independently in a multitask environment. Ability to exhibit integrity with high ethical standards and strict adherence to NCAA, conference, university and departmental rules and regulations. Demonstrated ability to collaborate successfully with internal and external stakeholder groups. |
