Required Education | Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. |

Licenses/Certifications | None. |
Required Experience | Two (2) years prior experience in revenue generation, especially fundraising, marketing and promotions operations and ticket and corporate sponsorship sales, comparable career experience in the specific fields may be accepted in lieu of education on a 1 on 1 basis. |
Preferred Experience | More than the required experience in revenue generation, especially fundraising, marketing and promotions operations and ticket and corporate sponsorship sales. Knowledge of fundraising compliance policies and regulations as applicable to the University and IRS. |
Equipment | Standard office equipment including Microsoft Office programs, as well as database system Raiser’s Edge. |
Working Conditions | Needs to be able to successfully perform all required duties. Usual office environment and outside the office. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. UTRGV is a distributed institution, which requires presence at multiple locations throughout the Rio Grande Valley. |
Other | Ability to work weekends and/or evenings on a constant basis; Occasional travel is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to plan, organize and execute “giving” campaigns directed at alumni, community and capital projects. Ability to handle several projects simultaneously and have the ability to prioritize the projects based on deadlines and importance to fulfilling the department’s fundraising requirements as they pertain to the annual budget. Ability to communicate effectively with external and internal contacts. |
