Job Summary:

The University of San Francisco seeks a highly-motivated, energetic, and team-orientated individual to fill the role of Assistant Athletics Director of Creative Video at one of the nation’s leading Jesuit institutions. This is a full-time, 12-month position with full University benefits. The successful candidate must be highly organized, self-driven, possess great attention to detail, be comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, be upbeat with a “can do” attitude, be responsible and dependable and be passionate about intercollegiate athletics. Will have total responsibility for the assigning, coordinating, of all photography, videography and editing of various video features to promote USF athletics and its student-athletes.

Full Job Description:

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
 Oversee the recruitment and training of a multifaceted team of USF employees and students who build strong skills in cinematography, photography, editing, live stream switching, graphics, and replay
 Oversee and assist the Creative Media Specialist to schedule, create, and manage all Livestream production for all USF sports.
 Oversee, advise and schedule site photography for all USF sports and athletic events.
 Oversee, Direct, Produce, Write, and Edit content creation across all digital channels - Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, and USF Dons Website.
 Work with Executive Staff to create and maintain video department budget.
 Develop and oversee inventory of all video and photography equipment, organize and maintain adequate storage and protection of all equipment
 Shoot creative video at games, practices and special events plus all field shoots and interviews.
 Assist in marketing and promoting the athletic department through video technologies and photography while increasing the exposure and brand awareness of the department
 Facilitate video/photo requests from local and national media outlets.
 Develop and maintain positive working relationships with local, regional and national media covering USF Athletics
 Provide highlights of USF Basketball highlights for national media outlets.
 Supervise game day media, video, and photography coverage
 Organize Media Days for all sports to capture specialty footage for marketing and communications staff. These include individual headshots for student-athletes and coaches, and team photos
 Maintain communication with student workforce, coaches and administration relative to creative content
 Work with External Team to develop video/photo plan to produce content for all
student athletes for all sports
 Serve as a Video Producer who directs, creates, films and edits USF Athletic features, promos and televised specials for local and USF campus television.

 Provide content and scheduling for all USF athletics features on USF athletics channel on campus television.
 Provide assistance in uploading content for court-side LED signage and video boards during basketball/volleyball events.
 Create promotional videos to enhance the fan experience on LED Boards, the Sobrato Center, and online content.
 Work closely with our audience development, digital product, and event production to drive audience growth.


Qualifications and Requirements
 Post-high school education preferred, emphasis on journalism, public relations,
communications or related field preferred.
 Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in the production and execution of sports video and photography.
 Willingness to work weekends and nights.
 Team travel as necessary.
 Ability to present a professional demeanor while delivering a high-level of customer service.
 Experience in working with editing programs (i.e. Adobe Premiere Pro or FCP)
 Experience in shooting video with DSLR, mirrorless, and 4k cinema Cameras
 Candidate must have the ability to recognize compelling stories, distribute, and present them in a creative manner, as well as execute production plans
 Flexible work hours but some evening and weekend hours are required.
 Knowledge of NCAA rules and experience working in an atmosphere of NCAA
compliance.
