Essential Functions (Job Duties)
Lead a vigorous externally funded vigorous research program in nanotechnology and pharmaceutical chemistry at the chemical biology interface, particularly in our strengths of drug discovery and development, metabolic disease, neurosciences and oncology
Provide teaching in the graduate program, including mentoring and direct supervision of PhD and MS students.
Provide teaching in the Doctor of Pharmacy program.
Provide service to the departmental, college university, profession, and public including serving on committees.
 
Unique Duties
 
Qualifications
Earned PhD in the pharmaceutics, medicinal chemistry or a related discipline, or an MD or equivalent degree
High potential to develop a vigorous externally funded research program.
Research publications in nanotechnology and pharmaceutical chemistry at the chemical biology interface.
High potential to provide effective teaching to both MS/PhD and Doctor of Pharmacy students.
 
Preferred Qualifications
Externally funded research program in nanotechnology and/or pharmaceutical chemistry at the chemical biology interface, particularly in areas of our strengths which include drug discovery and development, metabolic disease, neurosciences and oncology
High impact original research publications in nanotechnology and pharmaceutical chemistry at the chemical biology interface, particularly in areas of our strengths which include drug discovery and development, metabolic disease, neurosciences and oncology
Demonstrated record of providing effective teaching to MS/PhD and Doctor of Pharmacy students.
Service on national / international bodies derived from recognized excellence in research and leadership.
