Description

 

The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC), College of Medicine, Department of Urology, is accepting applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor.  The successful candidate would be expected to assist the next generation of clinical urologic researchers by engaging Urology residents and other trainees toward developing clinical research projects, abstracts, posters, and publications.  This is a full-time, tenure-track position and faculty rank is commensurate with experience and credentials. In addition to outstanding clinical care, the successful candidate will participate in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must have PhD, MD or equivalent
  • Successful candidates will have a record of clinical research and publications targeting a urologic disease
  • Committed to clinical research training and mentorship
  • Ability to collaborate across research disciplines towards research program development and grant submission
  • Communication skills necessary to work with scientists, clinicians, and trainees

 

Applicants should have experience in Urologic research ( cancer and benign disease). The applicant must be equipped and interested in assisting Urology residents and students with clinical research projects and publishing outcomes/population based clinical research.
