Job Summary
 
The School of Leadership at The University of Southern Mississippi invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position in Human Capital Development; to begin in August 2024. The School of Leadership’s programs in this field include MS and Ph.D. in Human Capital Development and MS and Ph.D. in Human Capital Development.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Teach graduate-level coursework;
  • Sustain a robust research agenda to include the creation and dissemination of new knowledge, pursue external research support, and supervise undergraduate and graduate-level research;
  • Assist with the assessment and evaluation of programs;
  • Hold regular office hours;
  • Provide service to assist the functioning of the School, College, and University;
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Minimum Qualifications  
    Doctorate in Human Capital Development or closely related field; A minimum of 18 hours of graduate course work in Human Capital Development or related field; Evidence of successful college teaching experience; Evidence of successful research or scholarly activity; Ability to work effectively with administration, faculty, staff, and students from various backgrounds.

     


    Preferred Qualifications  
    Experience with instructing online courses; Professional licensure, certifications, or awards in the area of teaching.
