Department of Family & Community Medicine

Clinician/ Educator:  University Family Medicine (UFM)

  Assistant/Associate Professor: The Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is seeking a full-time Clinician-Educator, with interests in teaching medical students and residents and providing clinical care at our robust urban University Family Medicine practice. The ideal candidate will share the philosophy of serving the community and supporting the academic mission of the department and of the residency program.   

  The faculty member will provide clinical oversight for residents and  work closely with  the undergraduate and graduate medical education teams, to provide clinical education to students and residents in Family Medicine while developing a clinical practice at our downtown Baltimore location. They will also participate in the departmental educational programs, providing didactic teaching to medical students and residents based on areas of interest and expertise. Physicians will be expected to provide broad-scope medical care. Those with interest and expertise in inpatient medicine and/or low-risk obstetrics are strongly encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

 

Candidates must be board certified/eligible in Family Medicine and eligible for unrestricted license in the State of Maryland.  This position requires a medical degree from a recognized accredited domestic university (or foreign equivalent), strong commitment to patient care and teaching, and the ability to work well in a team setting.
