Job Description
 

The Department of Child Health invites applications for a tenure/tenure-track position (Assistant or Associate Professor ranks). It is expected that the candidate will contribute ongoing initiatives related to sleep disorders and organ and biological senescence initiatives and will be an active member of a highly productive and collaborative research program that is maintained by continued significant extramural funding.


Qualifications
 


Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. degree in physiology, pharmacology, or related fields.

Candidates will be evaluated on: (i) able to integrate sleep science, metagenomics and vascular physiology approaches and apply basic findings to impact human health in an effective “discovery-to-care continuum”, (ii) will contribute to a culture of innovation, and (iii) can provide expertise that contributes to expansion of School of Medicine-wide programmatic initiatives in cardiovascular biology, physiology and sleep research. Candidates with expertise in how gut microbiome, aging, gestational physiology or gender regulates the cardiovascular system are also desirable.
