Position Overview
The Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology in the College of Health Sciences at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI invites applications for a tenure track position in speech-language pathology or related field at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor to begin August 2024. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an independent, extramurally funded research program in area of expertise. Applications will be accepted from candidates having broad areas of teaching and research interests with preference given to those with specialization in adult language and neurogenic communication disorders.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, developing and maintaining an active research agenda, securing extramural funding in areas of research interest, serving on departmental and university committees, and advising students.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Earned doctorate in communication disorders or related field. CCC-SLP and eligibility for Wisconsin state licensure preferred. An ABD will be considered if the degree is completed by August of 2024.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Prior university teaching, scholarly publishing, and grantsmanship are desirable.
