Job Description
In addition to didactic and clinical teaching in the PharmD program, it is expected that this tenure-track faculty position will establish and maintain an active research and clinical practice at the Boise VA Medical Center. It is anticipated that this position will maintain practice in a general ambulatory care setting, however specialty practice is negotiable and should support the research interests of the faculty. Options for beginning faculty include: the ability to negotiate the timeline for the pre-tenure probationary period, start-up funds, and faculty development through teaching/scholarship mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching: didactic/laboratory/case studies teaching; course coordination; APPE/IPPE precepting (30%)
- Service: College and University level committee work, professional service (10%)
- Scholarship: develop and maintain an active scholarship program commensurate with a tenure track faculty (30-40%)
- Clinical Service: establish and maintain a clinical practice in ambulatory care/ambulatory specialty (20-30%)
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited Pharmacy
- Completion of an accredited PGY1 residency training program OR fellowship training program OR equivalent clinical and/or research experience
- Eligibility for pharmacist licensure in Idaho
- US citizenship (required due to affiliation with Veterans Affairs)
- Evidence of scholarly activity
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (i.e., MPH, PhD, etc)
- Research fellowship
- Completion of a PGY2 residency program
- Board certification
- Teaching experience
Additional Information

Salary will be between $118,000 - $135,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
