Assistant/Associate/Professor - Pediatric/Congenital Interventional Cardiologist

Position Description:

The Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking a fellowship trained pediatric/congenital interventional cardiologist at Children's Wisconsin. This appointment may be at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor level. Rank upon appointment will be commensurate with experience.

The successful candidate will join a nationally recognized academic Pediatric Cardiology section within the Department of Pediatrics. At the time of appointment, the candidate must have completed 3 years of core pediatric cardiology fellowship with additional congenital interventional catheterization training.  Preference will be given to those with experience working as an interventional cardiologist. They should be board eligible or board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics Sub-Board of Pediatric Cardiology. Candidates should demonstrate ongoing commitment to clinical excellence, commitment to education, as well as clinical, translational, and/or basic research.

The catheterization program functions in two new, state of the art hybrid catheterization suites and performs a full complement of interventional procedures, including an active transcatheter valve implantation program. Annually, over 550 interventional and diagnostic procedures are performed. The successful candidate will join two full-time interventionalists and an advanced practice provider. The interventionalists may also participate in our inpatient service and maintain an outpatient clinic. We would particularly value those with experience in advanced techniques such has PDA stent implantation, complex pulmonary vein stenosis interventions or those with lymphatic interventional experience.

The Herma Heart Institute is internationally recognized for excellence, particularly in the care of children with complex forms of congenital heart disease. The Herma Heart Institute provides comprehensive pediatric and adult congenital cardiovascular services throughout the Midwest and consists of 30 pediatric cardiology faculty members, 3 pediatric cardiothoracic surgeons, 7 pediatric cardiac intensivists, a dedicated cardiac anesthesia team and a cadre of highly invested and talented nurse practitioners and physician assistants.  Opportunities abound for a candidate interested in joining a team with a commitment to elite clinical care and innovation in basic science, clinical, and translational research.
