Responsibilities:
 

The School of Physical Therapy at Belmont University is seeking applications for a 10-month full-time tenure-track faculty position in the entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor Level beginning August 1, 2024.
Job Responsibilities:
Primary teaching responsibility:
Adult neurologic physical therapy within the neuromuscular course series across the lifespan.
Additional Teaching responsibilities:
Assist in pediatric neurologic physical therapy labs.
Contribute expertise in other content areas based on program needs.
Scholarly Engagement:
Engage in rigorous and high-quality scholarly activity.
Service:
Serve at the Department, College, and University levels.
Advise DPT students.
Engage in community and professional service.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.
ABPTS certification in Neurologic Physical Therapy.
Teaching experience in neuromuscular physical therapy.
Minimum of 3 years full-time clinical experience in neurologic physical therapy.
Eligibility for TN physical therapy licensure.
Preferred Qualifications:
Academic doctorate (PhD, EdD, DHSc, DSc, or ScD) or progress toward a terminal degree.
Classroom and laboratory teaching experience in a Doctor of Physical Therapy program.
Additional Responsibilities:
Deliver quality evidence-based, entry-level instruction at the doctoral level.
Assess student mastery of knowledge, skills, and attitudes.
Seamlessly integrate technology into teaching.
Utilize relevant software programs (e.g., Canvas and Banner) for course administration and faculty functions.
Demonstrate clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and students, working independently and as a team.
