Founded in 1966 as Rutgers Medical School, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is located on the New Brunswick/Piscataway campus of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. The Department of Neuroscience and Cell Biology at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS) is seeking applications for a full-time, non-tenure track, faculty position in medical education. The successful candidate will contribute to the educational mission of the school’s medical and graduate courses in gross anatomy and histology through teaching and directorship.
Teaching activities include lectures and small group activities such as labs and TBL. There are numerous, exciting opportunities for scholarly and educational development and collaboration with core educators and clinicians as the school develops its new curriculum and transitions to a new state-of-the-art medical education building in 2026.
Qualified candidates must have experience teaching Anatomy within a medical or health-professional school, and have evidence of excellence and productivity related to directing an Anatomy course. Knowledge and experience in gross anatomy as well as dissection are a must and an additional willingness to learn and teach in Histology and Embryology is required.Candidates must have a Doctoral degree (MD or PhD). This appointment will be made at an academic rank commensurate with experience. Applications will be accepted until April 1, 2024, or until the position is filled.
