Job Summary: | Nature of Position: Langston University is seeking a full time Assistant Professor in the Mathematics Department. The starting date will be Fall 2024.

Position Qualifications: | Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Mathematics or Statistics is required; ABD encouraged to apply. College teaching experience preferred. The preferred candidate will also possess expertise that allows teaching in linear and abstract algebra, applied and advanced statistics, geometry, calculus and other mathematics courses that cover practical aspects and broad applications in the field. Interest in participating in an active research program which could involve undergraduate students is highly desirable. The preferred candidate must have the ability to demonstrate use of technology in the classroom and must be willing and able to use technology relevant to specifically assigned courses. Online teaching experience, willingness to teach online, and the ability to communicate well and employ teaching methods that engage students from traditionally underrepresented populations will be a plus.
