The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) is seeking an academic psychiatrist for a clinician-educator position as Associate Program Director of the Psychiatry Residency. Academic rank is commensurate with experience. This is a clinician-educator position and will be combined with clinical duties which can be tailored to suit the candidate including clinical programs in Psychosis, Mood/Anxiety, Consultation Liaison, Collaborative Care, Neuropsychiatry, Neuromodulation, Women’s Mental Health, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Candidates with experience in educational leadership and a track record of scholarly activity are especially encouraged to apply. This position requires some overnight (phone) and weekend on-call duties. This is an exceptional academic opportunity for a clinician educator interested in developing their career in education and education administration in an academic medical center.

Qualifications:
The candidate must be a Doctor of Medicine or equivalent, and have completed an ACGME (Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education) or AOA (American Osteopathic Association) accredited residency in psychiatry. The candidate must possess or be eligible for an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Illinois and an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration license and must be Board-certified or Board-eligible in psychiatry.

The Department of Psychiatry at UIC is one of the largest Psychiatry departments in the Midwest, with a large General Psychiatry Residency Training Program and multiple subspecialty fellowships, including Addiction Medicine, Addiction Psychiatry, Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Clinical Informatics, Global Mental Health, and Women's Mental Health.
