The Department of Kinesiology in the College of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi invites applications for a 9-month, tenure track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science/Strength and Conditioning. Rank will be determined upon qualifications. Primary teaching responsibilities may include but are not limited to undergraduate courses in 1) Beginning and Advanced Strength and Conditioning, Applied Sport Nutrition, Lifting Labs, Physiological Aspects of Kinesiology, and Exercise Physiology. Graduate-level teaching is also a possibility. 2) scholarly activity and grantsmanship, 3) service, and 4) student mentoring/advisement.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as a Program Director for a CASCE accredited program
Teach core classes in a strength and conditioning/exercise science curriculum
Engage in scholarly productivity
Serve as an advisor to undergraduate and graduate students
Serve on department, college, and university committees, attend academic meetings, commencement, and other special events
Required Qualifications:
Earned doctorate in Kinesiology or related field. Advanced ABD will be considered; degree must be conferred at the time of appointment.
To be considered for Associate Professor rank, a minimum of five (5) years of experience at the assistant professor or comparable rank is required
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, in good standing
Experience and/or willingness to utilize technological advances in course delivery (e.g. Canvas)
Demonstrated pattern of scholarly activity
Demonstrated pattern of teaching excellence
Demonstrated pattern of service at the university and professional levels
Preferred Qualifications:
Experienced as a Program Director
Two (2) years of experience teaching undergraduate/graduate Kinesiology courses
Willingness to work collaboratively with departmental research projects
Documented success with securing extramural funding (e.g. grants and contracts)
