Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The position entails a strong commitment to research, teaching, and service. Faculty are expected to contribute to scholarship through publications in outstanding journals in their chosen field. The teaching load will be 2-2, likely with a mix of undergraduate and graduate courses. Service requirements increase with rank and entail being a member of various committees at the Department, College, and University level. Strong communication and collaboration skills are important.
Required Qualifications
PhD, Economics or related field, completed by Spring 2024.
If ABD, assurance from committee chair of timely completion.
Preferred Qualifications
The Department will consider applications from candidates specializing in any field. However, a preference will be given to candidates with research and teaching interests at the intersection of economics and machine learning/artificial intelligence. The ability to procure grants would be considered a major plus.

The Department of Economics is in the College of Business. At the undergraduate level, the Department offers a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Economics. Additionally, the Department offers a Master of Science in Economic Data Analytics. The graduate program specializes in business data analytics and computational social science methods.
