Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care and service, is seeking applicants specializing in Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Psychology for two tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor positions in the Department of Psychology, beginning August 2024.

The Psychology Department has 26 full-time faculty members, a large undergraduate program, and doctoral programs in Industrial-Organizational, Experimental, and Clinical Psychology.  The Industrial-Organizational Program consists of five faculty positions and approximately 15 graduate students.  The successful applicant for this position will become a faculty member of our I-O Psychology doctoral program, which adheres to a scientist-practitioner model. We therefore seek an individual who is qualified by accomplishments and potential to help advance our well-regarded, scientist-practitioner I-O Program in the national rankings. 

Applicants must clearly demonstrate the ability to: 1) provide exceptional teaching, advising, and mentoring at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, 2) establish and maintain a productive, ongoing program of research with potential for external funding, and 3) have experience with and a commitment to the application of I-O Psychology. A Ph.D. in I-O psychology is required; however, individuals with ABD status who will complete the degree prior to August 2024 will also be considered. Teaching responsibilities will include courses at both the graduate and undergraduate level. We seek candidates committed to diversity and inclusion in teaching, research, and mentoring who believe in racial and social justice, equity, and serving others. Preferred qualifications include a program of research with a focus area that fits the program’s needs (e.g., teams, leadership, performance appraisal, etc.), the ability to teach graduate and undergraduate IO content courses at  (e.g., groups and teams, leadership, selection, performance management, group facilitation, etc.), general psychology and stats/methods undergraduate courses, and teach graduate quantitative statistics and research methods courses within R (e.g., meta analysis, structural equations modeling, multilevel modeling, item response theory, etc.).
