The Early Childhood Education program in the Department of Early Childhood Education at East Tennessee State University invites applications for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor. This is a 9-month, tenure-track position to begin August 2024.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Required Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field
  • 2 Years’ experience teaching and advising undergraduate and/or graduate students at a 4-year institute of higher education (adjunct and graduate student work may be considered)
  • Demonstrated research and scholarly activities related to the field of Early Childhood Education.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of NAEYC standards and accreditation process for higher education institutions
  • Knowledge of DEC standards
  • Experience with Reggio-Inspired Practice and Emergent Inquiry.
