Doctor of Physical Therapy Program - Omaha, Nebraska

 

Creighton University, a Catholic and Jesuit institution, invites applications for the position of Director of Clinical Education (DCE) for our established renowned Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program in Omaha, Nebraska. The ideal applicant will possess a high affinity to advance the program’s academic/clinical mission, including a commitment to teaching and learning across the educational spectrum. Creighton seeks a quality educator who is passionate about clinical education and advancing the profession of physical therapy through innovation and creativity.

 

The Omaha campus DCE will be responsible for continuing to advance the successful clinical education program in addition to working closely with the DCE and clinical education team located at our Phoenix-based campus.  In addition, the DCE will be responsible for teaching in the DPT curriculum, fulfilling a scholarly agenda, and participating in professional and community-based service.      

 

The DPT program supports five accredited (sixth in development) clinical residencies, a clinical practice in pediatrics, women’s health and orthopedics, and diverse research agendas in multiple areas of scholarship, including a successful platform of education research.  In addition, the program has access to many highly competitive grant-based initiatives.  Additional information regarding the mission and philosophy of the Creighton DPT program in Omaha can be found on the following website at: https://spahp.creighton.edu/future-students/doctor-physical-therapy

 

Qualified candidates will be eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in Nebraska and possess strong communication, organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. The candidate must have a minimum of three years of experience in clinical education or a minimum of two years of experience in teaching, curricular development and administration in a physical therapy program. Department and university service expectations are dependent upon applicant experience and background.  Academic rank, tenure/non-tenure track and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
