Job Description

The Assistant/Associate Professor will  perform the essential duties of teaching and advising students in three educational leadership programs and two graduate certificate programs. Program faculty also recruit new students, support graduate students including doctoral students in the K-12 education administration doctoral program, and maintain professional relationships with regional school administrators.

Key Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include teaching, ensuring student progress in the programs, supporting student research, recruiting students, advising students, and providing service in the program, department, college, and university.

Minimum Qualifications

Assistant Professor:
● Earned doctorate in Education Administration or Educational Leadership
● Possess K-12 school administrator experience
● Demonstrated ability to teach graduate courses in Educational Leadership
● Demonstrated ability to effectively guide master's and doctoral research projects, practicum, and internship experiences

Associate Professor:
● Earned doctorate in Education Administration or Educational Leadership
● Possess K-12 school administrator experience
● Established record of teaching excellence in teaching graduate courses in Educational Administration or Educational Leadership
● Established record of advising and directing graduate student research, practicum, and internship experiences
● Established record of research and scholarship, including securing grant/contracts
● Established record of leadership to the profession
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a PreK-12 district superintendent or district office administrator
  • Experience teaching graduate courses in educational administration or educational leadership
  • Experience advising graduate students and guiding student research projects including doctoral work
  • Experience teaching in on-line and virtual environments
  • Experience in supervising internships/practicums
  • PreK-12 certification for administrators (state)
  • Established record of scholarly productivity and grant submissions

Additional Information

Salary will be between $60,000 - $72,000 per year, dependent upon rank and commensurate with education and experience.
