The Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (EACPHS) at Wayne State University (WSU) is seeking candidates for a 12-month, non-tenure track faculty position based in Infectious disease pharmacy practice with an emphasis in antimicrobial stewardship. The practice site is within the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Michigan. The position is part of the WSU Department of Pharmacy Practice, which has 32 faculty members and a comprehensive network of outstanding adjunct faculty. The department has affiliations with numerous area health systems and community pharmacy organizations in Southeastern Michigan, an area recognized nationally for progressive pharmacy practice. The department's vision is to be a nationally recognized leader for integrating education and research within our diverse urban community and regional health care environments. Its mission is to prepare highly qualified pharmacists, researchers and leaders for success to improve health. The faculty member will join four other co-funded WSU faculty members at Henry Ford Hospital.
Henry Ford Hospital is the flagship hospital of Henry Ford Health System, a vertically integrated health system of 5 hospitals, 28 ambulatory medical centers, and an employed medical group. The hospital is an 877-bed tertiary care hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center with Centers of Excellence including the Henry Ford Transplant Institute and Josephine Ford Cancer Center. The Pharmacy Clinical Service Line at Henry Ford Health System provides antimicrobial stewardship services across the health system and offers a rigorous residency and fellowship program. The faculty member will work with the ID pharmacy team to support inpatient service and expand antimicrobial stewardship to outpatient settings.
Responsibilities: Didactic and experiential education, providing care in an active clinical practice and stewardship program at the practice site, post-graduate education, collaborative clinical research or other scholarly activity, and service to the department, college and community.

Qualifications
Requirements: Successful candidates must possess the Doctor of Pharmacy degree and have completed PGY2 Infectious Diseases residency and/or fellowship training or possess equivalent experience. Candidates must be eligible for licensure in the State of Michigan. An established record of teaching and scholarly accomplishments and board certification or experience in infectious diseases clinical pharmacy and antimicrobial stewardship are desirable.
