Job Description

To provide education to students in the College of Pharmacy, with a focus on the Clinical Psychopharmacology students. Maintain a clinical practice site in the Integrated Mental Health Clinic and develop partnerships with external practice sites.

Key Responsibilities

1. Teaching (40%) – Teach course in the MSCP and PharmD curriculum, student precepting in clinical experiences.

2. Clinical Practice (40%) – Maintain clinical practice as a prescribing psychologist in the Integrated Mental Heath Clinic, direct patient recruitment activities, assist in billing.

3. Service (15%) – College, university, local, regional, and national committee representation; work with local/state organizations to advocate for prescribing psychology/psychopharmacology; develop/provide psychopharmacology continuing education programs.

4. Scholarship (5%) - Develop and maintain an active scholarship program.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ph.D./Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology (or a related field) from an accredited program.
  • Completion of an MSCP degree.
  • Eligibility for licensure in Idaho as a clinical psychologist and a prescribing psychologist.
  • Demonstrated history of clinical practice.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Desire to advocate for the advancement of prescribing psychology.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate level teaching experience.
  • MSCP teaching experience.
  • Teaching experience utilizing online learning management systems.
  • Licensure in Idaho as a clinical psychologist and a prescribing psychologist.
  • Clinical supervision experience.
  • Board certification in Medical Psychology.
  • Demonstrated scholarship activities.
