Position Summary:

The Department of Cell and Regenerative Biology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking a full-time, tenure track Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. UW-Madison is a recognized world leader in developmental, regenerative, and stem cell biology. In addition, UW-Madison is one of the few institutions in the U.S. that maintains top programs in life sciences, engineering, clinical medicine, and veterinary medicine. UW maintains world class core facilities including flow cytometry, imaging, mass spectrometry, and genomics. These local strategic strengths and resources make UW an ideal location for new faculty in emerging areas of developmental, regenerative, and stem cell biology. The current hiring focus will complement existing strengths of the department and throughout the university, and will continue to build strategic strength in this rapidly emerging field.

Principal Duties:

The successful candidate is expected to develop and maintain a robust extramurally funded research program (50%). The candidate will also be expected to teach graduate student and postdoctoral students within the context of the departmental mission (25%). The successful candidate will also participate in professional, public, and university service appropriate to the faculty rank (25%).

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Ph.D. or equivalent in biomedical science, or closely related field, required.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Three years relevant postdoctoral experience and outstanding research accomplishments required prior to the candidate's start date with UW-Madison.
Candidates for Associate Professor or Professor rank must meet criteria for appointment at rank per UW School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for appointment and promotion on the tenure track.
