Job Summary | The School of Social Work at the University of Texas at Arlington invites applications for multiple open-rank positions: Assistant/Associate/Full Professor, T/TT status. The University of Texas at Arlington School of Social Work invites nominations and applications for multiple Assistant Professor Tenure-Track and Associate/Full Professor Tenured positions effective Fall 2024. We are especially interested in adding faculty who will strengthen our capacity in the areas of Mental Health/Substance Misuse, Community/Administrative Practice, and Children and Families. Applicants whose research focuses on individual and/or system-level approaches/outcomes are encouraged to apply, as well as those with a focus on diverse interdisciplinary research activities. Additionally, applicants with research that aligns with the UT Arlington Strategic Plan and the themes of Health and Human Condition and Sustainable Urban Communities (see https://www.uta.edu/administration/president/strategic-plan ) are strongly encouraged to apply. |

Department Information | The School of Social Work promotes the highest standards of integrity and excellence in research, teaching, and service. It creates collaborative scholarly and educational opportunities for students and the community, with the goal of achieving a just society. We are one of the largest programs in the country, with more than 2,200 students enrolled in the BSW, MSW, and Ph.D. programs. The School is home to the Center for Addiction and Recovery Studies, the Center for Child Welfare, and the Center for Clinical Social Work, as well as serving as host for the University’s Diversity Studies Minor. It is also home to two professional journals: The Journal of Policy Practice and Research and Adoption Quarterly.
