Job Description Summary
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Auburn University invites applications for two open-rank, nine-month, tenure-track positions in Statistics/Data Science, beginning on August 16, 2024. Candidates with expertise in all areas of statistics and data science are desired. The rank for each position is open and will be determined based on qualifications. Successful candidates are expected to pursue independent research and teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Auburn University boasts a dynamic faculty of over 50 members, specializing in a diverse range of mathematical, statistical, and data science fields. Minimum Qualifications
An earned doctorate in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science or a closely related field is required by the appointment start date. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively in English and possess excellent writing and interpersonal skills. The candidate selected for this position must be able to meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment.
