Job Summary | The College of Education invites applications for a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, Assistant/Associate/Full Professor (Practice) position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Dean. This fixed-term academic faculty appointment is in the Adult and Higher Education (AHE) programs in the College of Education. The incumbent will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses, advise students, provide service to the program, college, university and profession, and produce scholarship. The incumbent will provide AHE students with an understanding of the practical applications of higher education leadership. Specifically, the incumbent will teach in AHE’s Ed.D. and Ph.D. doctoral program and online Ed.M. and Certificate program. In the area of service, this person will serve on college and university committees, and actively engage in promoting student success through the lens of equity, inclusion and diversity. The incumbent will act as a liaison with community colleges, four-year institutions, and professional organizations. This position is directly responsible to advance the missions of the College of Education and AHE program area. The vision of the college is to develop change agents in the form of researchers, scholars, learning leaders, teachers and counselors. Change agents make a difference by promoting innovation, social justice and lifelong learning. They prepare citizens who are socially empowered, reflective, innovative and caring members of our increasingly diverse communities and the world. The College strives to be an international leader in research and in the preparation of change agents in education and related fields. AHE programs guide students in becoming socially just leaders and change agents in a variety of educational contexts. The program endeavors to prepare educators and educational leaders committed to social justice in nationally-recognized doctoral and master’s programs. |

Key Responsibilities | 80% Teaching and Advising
10% Research/Scholarly Work Engage in scholarship activities that contribute to effective educational program delivery and practical research application (e.g., program innovation, professional case or policy reports, invited presentations, advising government agencies or professional groups). 10% Service Provide collegial and constructive service to Adult and Higher Education, College of Education, University, and professional organizations related to higher education and/or adult education. |
What You Will Need |
To be considered at the Associate or Full Professor level, the candidate must have teaching experience, research experience and a publication record commensurate with that level to be granted the same rank at Oregon State University. |

Working Conditions / Work Schedule | Typical work schedule includes Monday through Friday hours with some non-standard evening and weekend work and/or travel. Classes meet online and/or in-person weekly. Local travel to Portland for class meetings is required. Regular attendance at faculty and College meetings is required.
