The Department of Educational Leadership in the College of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC) invites applications for a 9-month, non-tenure Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor with experience and credentials in PK-12 educational administration and leadership. The faculty appointment will begin in Fall 2024.

We seek a colleague who can:

  • Establish meaningful connections with both scholars and practitioners alike;

  • Develop and deliver innovative educational programs; and

  • Empower students to investigate and impact challenging and contentious social issues in their professional settings.

The selected candidate will primarily teach online, potentially involving evening and weekend work hours. Moreover, the candidate will be expected to maintain a regular on-campus presence while fulfilling the requirements for teaching, service, and advising. The teaching load would be five courses/assignments per semester.

The ideal candidate will be prepared for the following primary duties and responsibilities:

  • Contribute to TAMU-CC’s HSI/MSI mission.

  • Teach courses in the Educational Administration graduate programs.

  • Coordinate the principal preparation program.

  • Advise graduate students and dissertation candidates.

  • Actively engage with department, college, and university committees, academic meetings, commencements, and other special events.

The required qualifications for the position are as follows:

Required Qualifications for Assistant :

  • Doctoral degree in Educational Administration/Leadership from an accredited university. Advanced ABD will be considered; degree must be conferred by the time of appointment.

  • Experience in PK-12 settings successfully serving as principal or similar campus leadership position.

  • Holds a valid Texas principal (or mid-management) certification.

  • Evidence of commitment to inclusion and belonging.

Required Qualifications for Associate :

  • Doctoral degree in Educational Administration/Leadership from an accredited university.

  • Experience in PK-12 settings successfully serving as principal or similar campus leadership position.

  • Holds a valid Texas principal (or mid-management) certification.

  • Evidence of commitment to inclusion and belonging.

  • At least five (5) years of successful experience as a Texas PK-12 principal.

  • Experience in incorporating high-quality teaching in an online environment and experience in developing online curricula at the graduate level.

Preferred Qualifications for All Ranks:

  • Experience with university program accreditation processes.

  • A published record of scholarship, including grant writing.

  • A record of advising graduate students, including serving on doctoral dissertations.
