You will be integral to the success of Sponsored Research Services (SRS) as the Pre-Award Proposal Administration leadership as you support the Associate Executive Director of SRS for Pre-Award Proposal Administration by facilitating work within the functional area, supervising proposal administrators, managing workload and providing guidance to members and principal investigators in interpreting complex sponsor requirements, and providing extensive trouble shooting for the AED in the Pre-Award area.

Your experience in proposal administration will enable you to troubleshoot by researching, locating, and eliminating sources of problems/issues. You'll oversee quality assurance for the administration of proposals, including compliance with federal and state regulations, sponsor guidelines, and System Member policies and guidelines as you review metrics on workload and turn-around times and provide recommendations for redistribution of workload and streamlining processes.

Sponsored Research Services (SRS) was established in 2011, to provide research administration services to The Texas A&M University System in Brazos County, Galveston and Qatar. Housed within the Division of Research at Texas A&M, SRS teams work with stakeholders across the globe to provide efficient and superior expertise and assistance with proposal submissions, negotiation of external contracts, and project administration throughout the life of the award. Qualifications

Minimum qualifications for an Assistant Director position include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience as well as six years of progressively responsible experience in a university or business setting developing budgets and or project/proposal administration. Minimum qualifications for an Associate Director position include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience as well as eight years of progressively responsible experience in a university or business setting developing budgets and or project/proposal administration.
