  • JOB DUTIES

Description

The Assay Chemist at the UCLA Olympic Analytical Laboratory will be responsible for performing chemistry assays to detect the presence of steroids, masking agents, and other substances in urine specimens. Additionally, you will maintain sample tracking records and enter specimen information into a computer database, as well as perform advanced chemistry in other areas of laboratory operations. Salary Range: $27.09 – $43.58/hour



  • JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

• Knowledge of a variety of organic, biochemical, and analytical chemistry techniques, including chemical derivatization, ether extraction, centrifugation, solvent stripping, ion exchange chromatography, enzymatic deconjugation, and chemistry extraction • General knowledge of chemistry principles • Knowledge of ions and retention times for GCMS/LCMS/IRMS – preferred
