Department Summary | The College of Health and Public Service (HPS) at the University of North Texas, distinguished as one of the few Tier One research universities designated as a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI), prepares graduates to address diverse and complex social issues such as aging, disability, disaster management and recovery, criminal justice, health disparities, and public safety, and find solutions to challenges in public administration, public health, and urban design. We have seven academic departments with undergraduate and graduate programs, the Center for Public Management, the UNT Speech and Hearing Center, UNT WISE and a number of professional development and clinical training programs to facilitate careers to address a global society. Located within HPS, the Department of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology (ASLP) provides the finest graduate professional education in both speech-language pathology and audiology while maintaining an excellent undergraduate degree. The program stresses excellence in teaching, research, and service by its faculty and students. As a component of the educational program, the department operates the UNT Speech and Hearing Center, which offers professional services to members of our campus community and the general public for the purpose of providing clinical training for students. The Center offers state-of-the-art diagnosis and treatment of speech, language, and hearing disorders. ASLP is seeking a part-time Clinic Office Support Associate to join the HPS family. |
Position Summary | The Clinic Office Support Associate provides administrative support for the clinical office and general clinic operations at the UNT Speech & Hearing Center under the overall direction of the Clinic Director. This person serves as the primary backup for the Front Desk Coordinator (as needed) and assistant to the Medical Billing & Coding Specialist (as needed). The Administrative Assistant works collaboratively with the Medical Billing Specialist, Front Desk Coordinator and student office workers to maintain efficient clinic operations. Duties include:
