The University of Kansas School of Music seeks to fill a full-time, academic year (nine month), tenure track artist to teach Voice in an Assistant Professor capacity to begin on August 18, 2021. The successful candidate will be a soprano, mezzo-soprano, or treble voice and surrounded by colleagues who share your passion for artistic expression and educating students, creating professional opportunities in the field and eager to create new ways for engagement in learning, research and service. The School of Music is especially interested in hiring faculty members who can contribute to the climate of diversity in the School including a diversity of scholarly artistic approaches. The University of Kansas School of Music is a comprehensive university music school offering professional training in a wide array of specializations through baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral degree programs. A charter member of the National Association of Schools of Music (1928), KU is the only institution authorized by the Kansas Board of Regents to grant doctoral degrees in music. Applicants are preferred to possess a doctoral degree in music or related field. Applicants with a master's degree in music or related field and with significant professional performance experience will be considered. Candidates that are ABD will be considered. The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the U.S. by the time of appointment.
