Description

Under the direction of UCLA Operation Mend Director of Psychological Health Services, Medical Director and Medical Director of Operation Mend Intensive Treatment Program, you will provide trauma informed/evidence based treatment, traumatic brain injury treatment, and substance use disorder treatment to military service members, veterans and caregivers participating in the Operation Mend Intensive treatment program. In this role you will also provide clinical care, and support services, facilitate group art therapy sessions, as well as community education and innovative research to ITP participants. Major Job functions include: – Assist multidisciplinary team in psychodiagnostic appraisals and facilitation of intake and assessment protocols and structured sessions with patients and their families. – Assist in organizing, structuring, and conducting individual and group intervention sessions; – Customize art therapy program for specific client population – Organize, structure, and conduct group art therapy sessions. – Assist in program development – Tracking and monitoring participants’ participation in the intensive treatment program – Completing required documentation and data entry – Participating in multidisciplinary meetings and present relevant patient cases regarding target population – Conducting individual and group trauma informed interventions – Assisting Operation Mend clinical team in managing referrals and post treatment follow up – Attending training and supervision sessions – Attending designated Operation Mend and Health System activities. Pay Range: $32.14 – $72.37/hourly



  • JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

* MFT, ATR (Registered Art Therapist), or graduated from AATA (American Art Therapy Association) approved graduate program, or related fields; must have clinical license or be license eligible. * Ability to administer assessment protocols. * Ability to work independently and report to supervisors and leadership on a regular basis and in a timely manner. * Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Experience delivering trauma informed behavioral interventions to clients in individual and particularly group settings. * Experience in the area of military, veterans, family, trauma, and/or prevention. * Experience working successfully in a team environment. Ability to work effectively and closely with other members of the clinical and research teams. * Flexible hours some evenings and weekends. * Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Access. Ability to follow University Policy and Procedures. * Skill in developing rapport with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds. * Skill in ethical and professional behavior. * Skill in keeping accurate and timely records.
